Built Around the
Belief That Events
Should Actually Work
Maple Event Hub started from a simple observation: most event entertainment is either forgettable or awkward. We set out to build something that was neither.
From one table in Toronto
to events across Canada
Maple Event Hub grew out of a frustration with the event industry's default approach to entertainment. For too long, event planners have been sold the same rotating set of options — photo booths, DJ packages, and generic catering upgrades — and then wondered why the evening feels like every other evening.
We believed there was a better way. When guests sit down at a properly run game table — with a confident host, quality equipment, and the right energy — something happens that a playlist never achieves. People who were strangers twenty minutes ago are collaborating, laughing, and sharing something. That moment is what we're built around.
We started with a single poker table at a private event in Toronto. Word spread — not because of the game, but because of how the evening felt. We invested in more equipment, recruited more hosts, refined the process, and began working with corporate clients, venues, and event planners across the country.
Today we operate nationally, delivering events from Victoria to Halifax. The scale has grown, but the original instinct hasn't changed: every event we do should feel like it was genuinely thought through.
Operating since 2018. Headquartered in Toronto.
Planning philosophy
Three principles guide every event we work on — from the first conversation through to the final breakdown on the night.
Delivery first
We're a delivery organisation. The quality of our work is measured on the night, not in the proposal. We put the majority of our effort into what happens when your guests are in the room — not into how the pitch deck looks.
Guest-centred design
Every decision — game selection, table position, host briefing, pacing — is made with the guest experience in mind. A well-run event isn't one where nothing goes wrong. It's one where guests feel that someone cared about their evening.
Simple for clients
Planning an event is already work. We don't add to that. Our process is designed to be clear and low-friction — you provide the brief, we handle the rest, and you arrive to a running event, not a setup in progress.
Service that's built around your event, not our convenience
We're not a booking platform or a marketplace. When you work with Maple Event Hub, you're working with the team that will actually be at your event. The person you speak to during planning is connected to the people on the ground on the night.
That continuity matters. It means the briefing sticks. It means the host knows the context of the evening, not just the rules of the game. It means nothing is lost in translation between what you asked for and what gets delivered.
We're direct about what we can do and what we can't. If a date is unavailable, we say so clearly. If a format isn't right for your guest count or venue, we tell you. We'd rather help you plan something that works than confirm a booking that doesn't fit.
We respond to all enquiries within one business day. Most clients hear back the same day.
We review every detail in the briefing. Guests arrive to a running event, not a setup in progress.
Whether it's your first event with us or your tenth, the standard doesn't vary. Every booking gets the same level of preparation.
We work around your programme, your venue, and your timeline. Evening events, afternoon receptions, multi-day conferences — we adapt.
The people at the tables
Our hosts and event staff are the product. We recruit people who are confident in front of a crowd, clear when they explain a game, and genuinely good at making people feel comfortable — not just technically competent.
Every host goes through a briefing before each event. They know the format, the guest profile, the timing, and any specific context you've shared. Nothing is improvised when the doors open.
What sets us apart
Most clients who work with us once come back the following year. Some have been running the same format annually for three or four years. That retention tells us something — not just that they liked the event, but that they trusted the process enough to repeat it.
The reasons clients give us are consistent: the planning is straightforward, the delivery is reliable, and the guests respond in a way that justifies the investment. Those three things are hard to find together in event services, and we've built our operation around them.
We're also honest when something won't work. If a venue layout doesn't suit the tables you've asked for, we say so and offer an alternative. If a date is close to fully booked, we tell you before you've confirmed. That honesty is part of the service too.
"We've used Maple Event Hub for our annual staff party for three years running. The team knows exactly what to do and how to make the room feel alive. We don't even send a brief anymore — they know what we want."
T. Nguyen — HR Director, Montreal"The planning conversation took 20 minutes. Everything was confirmed, detailed, and clear. On the night they arrived, set up, ran the event beautifully, and left without a trace. Exactly what you want."
